USIHC is offering four virtual education seminars.
Sessions will last approximately 1 ½ - 2 hours and include a lecture/presentation followed by a Q & A session, when members will be able to ask questions of the presenter(s). Each presentation will be recorded and available for viewing for 7 days. We hope you will join us!
Cost:
$35 per seminar or $100 for the entire series

Saddle fitting with master saddle maker
January 20th at 12 p.m. Eastern Time
Saddle fitting with master saddle maker Gudmundur ("Mummi") Arnarsson of Astund, and Holar graduate Mummi Skulason, Part 2. This session will look at how to go about selecting and fitting the right saddle for your horse, as well as trouble-shooting common problems that impact riding. This is a continuation of Part 1 from 2023.
Shoeing the Icelandic Horse Part 2
February 17 at 12 p.m. Eastern Time
Shoeing the Icelandic horse part 2 with Siggi Torfi. This session will be a deeper-dive into the shoeing issues unique to the Icelandic horse, including shoeing techniques specific to the horse's unique gaits, as well as how to source supplies and materials in the US.

Endurance riding with the Icelandic Horse
